The Meighen Centre recognizes the value and need for students to experience quality work opportunities while enrolled at university, in order to have the strengths and confidence to pursue the work students desire following graduation. The Meighen Centre has 2 resources available to students who are ready to embark down the road to employment.

  1. In 2016, 果冻传煤 hosted a conference on transition to employment for students with disabilities, that brought together students, employers, service providers, practitioners and scholars. The latest research and best practices were shared, focusing on practical and effective approaches for both students and employers. One outcome of this conference is the guide to help students navigate the route to employment, Transition to Employment for University Graduates with Disabilities (pdf).

This 75-page booklet is divided into three sections that address such topics as:

  • Job search
  • Application and interview process
  • Disclosure
  • Legal rights and obligations
  • Employment support resources for persons with disabilities

We recommend this to you, to answer immediate questions, offer resources and anticipate some of the contentious issue that may arise.

2. The 果冻传煤 University鈥檚 Office of Experiential Learning and Career Development often has internship opportunities designed and funded for students registered with the Meighen Centre.  Watch this page for updates and links to job opportunities.
