Orientation welcomes the Class of 2021

First-year students were welcomed in style with a full Orientation Week.

Starting with International Orientation and Move-In Day, the week included perennial favourites such as the Karaoke BBQ and Mount Alympics, as well as important wellness presentations on topics like consent and responsible consumption. New this year was 鈥淲hat I Wish I Knew,鈥 a panel discussion of upper-year students sharing what they wish they had known in first year.

鈥淔or this year鈥檚 Orientation Week, we focused on making it as informative as possible. Most of our programming was educational, and of course still fun and engaging, to make sure students were starting off right,鈥 says Orientation Chair Natasha Kochhar (鈥18). 鈥淎ll of our events were so well attended! I think we really did stick to our theme and made people feel at home.鈥

Spencer Isaac (鈥17) was this year鈥檚 Commencement speaker, helping to launch the Year of Indigenous Action on campus, and the Town of Sackville hosted its annual Welcome Corn Boil at the Farmers鈥 Market.
